About the Internship 

Calvert Impact is seeking a graduate-level summer Impact Intern to support impact reporting and impact management projects, particularly impact data collection and analysis in preparation for the 2025 Community Investment Note® Impact Report. The summer Impact Intern primarily will work with the Impact Management team to collect, analyze, and visualize information on the impact of our Community Investment Note® portfolio partners.  

The Impact Intern will also assist with enhancing the Impact Management team’s data visualization and analytics capacity using Power BI, including building out portfolio-level reporting and conducting portfolio-level impact analyses. While projects will primarily concern the Community Investment Note® portfolio, the Impact Intern will have the opportunity to conduct impact analyses across other Calvert Impact products, including the Cut Carbon Note and Access Small Business Program.  

Location: Bethesda, MD - one block from metro stop
Work Schedule: Hybrid; at least 3 days per week in-office
Pay: $25/hour
Schedule: 4 days per week (Monday - Thursday)
Timeframe - June-August 2025

Desired Qualifications 

  • Strong project management, communications, and analytical skills

  • Experience working with and managing large quantities of financial and other data, including data quality control. Experience with regression analysis a plus, but not required. 

 
  • Ability to learn new software tools quickly. Data analysis and visualization skills are a plus, including experience working with Power BI, Tableau, or other data analysis and visualization tools. 

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and coordinate with people internally and externally 

  • Solid team player, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and innovative organization 

  • Commitment to Calvert Impact’s mission of positively impacting communities in the US and around the world 

  • Experience with and/or knowledge of impact investing industry and impact measurement are a plus
