Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic PowerBI/M365 Engineer to design, implement, and optimize solutions leveraging Power BI analytics, Microsoft 365 services, and other database management tools. The ideal candidate will manage and enhance the organization’s M365 and PowerBI environments. This dual-role position requires a strong technical foundation, analytical mindset, and ability to collaborate across departments with a focus on streamlining access to information and using data to improve decision-making. This position will ensure that information and insights are easily accessed, delivered in a timely matter, and accurate.
Key Responsibilities:

Interact with leadership and stakeholders to gather requirements and establish priorities that align with business objectives.

Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports with Power BI based on business requirements and integrated into Microsoft Teams and SharePoint for seamless collaboration.

Develop and integrate Power BI with multiple data sources, including SQL Server, Airtable, SharePoint, and cloud-based APIs.

Develop and manage integration workflows and ETL process using Boomi, Power Automate, Power Query, Azure Data Factory and other tools that streamline processes, transform / cleanse data.

Design, implement, and manage SharePoint solutions using custom workflows, forms, and applications. Build and maintain SharePoint site structures, libraries, lists, and pages.

Work with the internal IT team to build and optimize data models to improve performance and scalability.

Provide training, support, and best practices to end-users on Power BI tools and M365 applications (SharePoint)

Create technical documentation for processes, workflows, and troubleshooting guides.

Implement and ensure adherence to governance standards for Microsoft 365 and Power BI environments.

Stay up to date with new Microsoft 365 and Power BI features, updates, and best practices. Proactively recommend improvements to enhance collaboration, productivity, and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:

Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and expertise in Power Automate for workflow automation.

Strong skills in Power Query, SQL, and data modeling. Hands-on experience integrating M365 services with Power BI and other third-party applications.

Expertise in Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint Online and Teams)

Familiarity with Azure Active Directory and PowerShell scripting.

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree required, Computer Science or Information Technology focus, preferred. MBA or other relevant advanced degree, preferred.

Bachelor’s degree or related certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3+ years of experience developing dashboards and data models in Power BI and managing Microsoft 365 environments.

Willingness to travel up to 20%, primarily within the US, and ability to work from the Washington, DC area or be willing to come into the office quarterly for team collaboration.
