Job Description:
The IT Project Manager is responsible for taking projects from a conceptual stage through implementation. Taking direction from the VP of IT, the project manager collaborates with business and operational leaders on a variety of IT-based projects ranging in size and complexity.
Key Responsibilities:

Interact with leadership and stakeholders to establish priorities to achieve strategic plans and objectives.

Ensure there is common and consistent project definition, specification gathering, and management process.

Ensure there are common and consistent project milestones and associated deliverables for each project.

Work with internal and external stakeholders to create solution strategy.

Identify critical milestones and risks; establish timeline; and develop an implementation plan (including task details, task owners, and dependencies).

Oversee project execution, holding internal and external stakeholders accountable for deliverables.

Adjust implementation strategy/approach based on observed results; identify cross functional process linkages and facilitate coordination and improvements.

Ensure compliance with project deliverables, standard operating procedures, business practices, and regulatory requirements.

Actively monitor project progress and provide proactive report-outs to internal and external stakeholders.

Lead or participate as a subject matter expert in cross-functional projects, as requested by the business.

Knowledge and understanding of system development, implementation, and support of small to large scale applications/solutions.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Proficient in presenting data (PowerPoint, storytelling, etc.)

Bachelor’s degree required, Computer Science or Information Technology focus, preferred. MBA or other relevant advanced degree, preferred.

5 + years of experience managing the full lifecycle of IT-related projects.

Willingness to travel up to 20%, primarily within the US, and ability to work from the Washington, DC area or be willing to come into the office quarterly for team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with software development processes and methodologies, including agile and DevOps practices a plus.

Financial services industry experience a plus.
