Position Overview: Climate United is seeking a Director of Reporting to lead the organization’s reporting function. This role will be responsible for overseeing the gathering, aggregation, and coordination of data from various systems across the organization and its coalition partners and other stakeholders. The Director will ensure that final reports are delivered to stakeholders, including government entities, senior leadership and board members, on time and in accordance with required deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the organization’s reporting function, ensuring the gathering, aggregation, and coordination of data from all internal systems and coalition partners.
- Deliver accurate and timely reports to senior leadership, board members, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand reporting needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage the reporting calendar to ensure all deadlines are met and reports are delivered on time.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline data collection processes and ensure data integrity across the organization.
- Provide leadership and guidance to teams involved in data collection and reporting, ensuring consistent high-quality outputs.
- Analyze large datasets and generate actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests from senior leadership and other stakeholders as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to data reporting.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Extensive experience with government-related reporting, including building and delivering reports to senior leadership and board members.
- Proven experience managing large datasets across different systems and platforms.
- Strong ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable format.
- Ability to manage multiple reporting projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and reporting software.
- Flexibility to be onsite frequently and unexpectedly, as needed.
- At least 8 years of experience with government-related reporting, including building and delivering reports to senior leadership and board members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the clean energy or nonprofit sectors.
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications in data or technology fields.
Certifications (if applicable):
- Certification in Data Analytics, Project Management, or relevant fields is a plus.
