About the Role
We’re looking for a creative, idea-driven Senior Manager, Events Engagement to help grow participation across our global events and bring our stakeholder experiences to the next level. This role blends event planning, engagement strategy, and program development. You’ll get to dream up new ways for participants to connect with our content, each other, and CLOC. Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Execution
- Support planning and logistics for CLOC’s global events, including timelines, venue sourcing, registration, operations, and attendee experience elements.
- Work with internal teams, venues, vendors, and volunteer leaders to ensure engagement programs fit seamlessly into the broader event plan.
- Contribute to run-of-show development and onsite programming tied to engagement.
Participant Growth & Engagement
- Develop strategies to grow registrations and overall participation.
- Build initiatives that improve stakeholder satisfaction, connection, and retention.
- Review participation data and feedback to identify opportunities to refine the attendee experience.
- Partner with Marketing on messaging and campaigns that highlight event value.
Program & Experience Development
- Create new opportunities for participants to connect, such as exhibit hall gamification, VIP programs, meetups, and interactive experiences.
- Support the design of session formats and experiential elements that enhance the value of our events, leveraging experience mapping, the attendee journey, and micro-activations to create more engaging and impactful experiences.
- Collaborate with internal teams and volunteer leaders to align programs with member needs.
Inventory & Revenue Support
- Contribute to the development of new engagement-driven event inventory for sponsors and partners.
- Work with the Sponsorship team to ensure offerings resonate with attendees and deliver value for partners.
Operational Coordination
- Build and refine processes that streamline communications and ensure a consistent attendee journey.
- Keep teams aligned on timelines and priorities related to participant growth and engagement.
- Oversee engagement-related workflows and attendee-facing communications to ensure clarity and quality.
Qualifications
Required
- 5–7 years of experience in events, marketing, community engagement, or audience development.
- Experience developing programs or strategies that increase participation or engagement.
- Experience mapping audience journeys and turning insights into physical or digital touchpoints.
- Experience producing micro-experiences at events, conferences, or live activations.
- Familiarity with basic spatial design and traffic flow.
- Experience with engagement tools like scavenger apps, RFID, or interactive installations.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to use data and feedback to guide decisions.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience in member-based organizations or professional communities.
- Familiarity with event tech platforms and engagement tools.
- Experience designing interactive or experiential programs.
