Regional Coordinator 

The National Grazing Lands Coalition’s (NatGLC) Regional Coordinator will lead efforts to plan and manage events, write grants, and engage with NatGLC's community and stakeholders. This role involves working closely with the NatGLC Regional Directors to advance NatGLC's mission.  

The mission of NatGLC is to deliver assistance to grazing land stewards to foster the benefits grazing lands provide to family farms, ranches, local communities, and all of society. 

Essential Requirements & Responsibilities:  

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience required  

  • Experience and familiarity with the grazing industry 

  • Collaborate with producers and other partners to advance sustainable grazing practices through coordination of training and grant writing.  

  • Proactively advance the mission of NatGLC with partnerships through member organizations, state coalitions, and outside stakeholders. 

  • Effectively communicate, in a timely and accurate manner, with the Regional Directors 

  • Partner with state-grazing coalitions to facilitate education and projects.  

  • Coordinate regional project work streams involving supply chains, NGOs, NRCS, etc. 

  • Organize field days, workshops, and other events for community knowledge exchange. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Sustainability, Range/Forage technical sciences, Agricultural Communications, or related fields. 

  • Familiarity with sustainable livestock and grazing management systems. 

  • Proven experience in collaboration and partnership development. 

  • Strong understanding of federal and state conservation programs (e.g., Farm Bill programs). 

  • Adaptability in complex political and multi-jurisdictional environments. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities. 

  • Ability to simplify complex subjects for diverse audiences. 

  • Creative and positive approach to communication and problem-solving. 

  • Experience in government or non-profit sectors related to natural resource management or agriculture preferred. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms. 

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. 

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with diverse populations.  

Working Environment/Physical Activities:

Work environment is an office setting and outdoors. Physical activities include sitting at a desk and working on a keyboard and computer for several hours a day; conducting business over the computer and telephone; standing for long periods; and traveling long distances by vehicle (including traveling on unpaved roads). This position may also require moving materials up to 25 pounds. This position requires the ability to enunciate clearly, facilitate meetings, and interface professionally with the public.  

  • While we offer a remote and flexible work environment, this position is a full-time, salaried position keeping typical business hours when not traveling. Travel may be up to 10%.  

  • This position is subject to the organization's travel, procurement, conflict of interest, code of ethics, and other policies.  

  • This position reports to NatGLC’s  Regional Directors 

Salary & Benefits: 

  • Salary: $53,000-$65,000
