Staff members of the Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation have energy and passion for the mission and vision of the REC Foundation.  This position is primarily responsible for executing human resource support activities to support the needs of the REC Foundation and the staff members of the REC Foundation.

 


 

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment effort for all full- and part-time positions

  • Work with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and interview materials

  • Screen candidates and participate in interviews

  • Complete E-Verify process for new hires

  • Initiate and manage the background check process for employees and volunteers 

  • Assist with  management team with onboarding and offboarding

  • Organize and prepare materials for new hires

  • Process employee terminations

  • Assist with employee benefits package, support team members, and manage vendor relationships

  • Lead efforts to support team member engagement and recognition activities

  • Assist in implementation of policies and procedures; propose, maintain, distribute, manage, communicate, and enforce changes to Employee Handbook

  • Assist with coordinating the annual review process and assist with annual compensation review

  • Support employees and managers with leave of absence requests (short-term disability, long-term disability, bereavement, personal) and workers compensation requests and disputes

  • Assist with Identifying and implementing company-wide compliance training

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 2 years of applicable experience

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel (HR) administration

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, and Google Suite,

  • Fluent in English; proficient reading and writing skills

  • Understands facets of job, aware of duties and responsibilities, keeps job knowledge current

  • Ability to understand and adapt to different situations and dynamics effectively

  • Applies personal and professional experience, abilities, and resources to achieve goals

  • Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments

  • Keeps information organized and accessible

  • Ensures information is complete and accurate, follows up with others to ensure commitments have been fulfilled

  • Willingness to learn and use new data systems and processes
