Senior Systems Administrator Position Summary
The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for taking a security-first approach in managing, optimizing, and securing the Company's IT infrastructure, analyzing current systems and assets, recommending and implementing solutions and upgrades, and providing training as needed.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience as an MCSE/MCSA and have strong experience with Microsoft server environments, Microsoft 365 administration, and Zoho One applications. This role is responsible for ensuring system stability, security, performance, and end-user support across the organization. Enjoys working with internal and external resources and will tackle simple and complex tasks as needed to move IT to a more structured, secure, and automated service organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Azure Microsoft 365, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Manage on-premises and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Administer and maintain website in the AWS ecosystem.
- Monitor system performance, apply patches, and ensure high availability.
- Manage and support Microsoft 365 environment (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), user provisioning, conditional access, and security policies.
- Configure and manage email security, compliance policies, and data protection.
- Troubleshoot M365-related issues and provide end-user support.
- Administer and support Zoho One applications (e.g., Zoho CRM, Zoho Projects, Zoho Desk).
- Manage user access, roles, workflows, and automation.
- Provide training and support to internal users.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents.
- Implement and manage Microsoft 365 security features including MFA, Conditional Access, and Defender.
- Work with team on risk reduction compliance and technical improvements.
- Network and application vulnerability scanning and remediation.
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support.
- Document IT procedures, configurations, and system changes.
- Understand that, due to the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape, maintaining this role will require obtaining additional certifications and experience to keep up with the cybersecurity threat landscape and industry acceptable certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience and/or training in the following fields:

- IT management in a Microsoft 365 hybrid environment (on prem and cloud)
- Zoho One Administration
- IT security monitoring and analysis
- Strong experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022).
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365.
- Practical experience with Zoho One platform.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs).
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Preferred Qualifications that drive success in this role
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, AZ-104).
- Experience in hybrid environments (Microsoft and Linux).
- Scripting experience (PowerShell preferred).
- Firewall networking experience (Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, Aruba)
- Experience with endpoint management tools (Intune, etc.).
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
