The Site Reliability Engineer works closely with support and engineering teams to monitor and maintain a high-quality customer experience. This role will have a focus on observability. You will manage infrastructure and application metrics, logs, and monitors to ensure a full view of service status and maintain AbsenceSoft’s high availability standards. The Site Reliability Engineer will troubleshoot complex system and customer events and make controlled changes to the AbsenceSoft infrastructure to resolve blocking issues for our customers.

What You’ll Do
- Maintain and develop a collection of dashboards and monitors to ensure service operability and reflect service dependencies
- Guide troubleshooting process for complex system and application issues
- Manage and maintain APM capability
- Manage and monitor centralized logging and aggregated log analysis and alerts
- Monitor HA and DR readiness
- Maintain SOC2/HITRUST controls and security
- Conduct application and infrastructure releases.
- Follow standard operating procedures to support customers and resolve service events
- Participate in a highly compliant environment while assisting to maintain company controls and security within your job role.
- Other duties as assigned.
What’ll Set You Up for Success
What We Require:
- 1+ year SaaS / commercial for Market software experience
- 2+ years in an SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure role
- 1+ year experience with AWS services
- Experience using monitoring and logging tools
- Experience with CI/CD tooling
- Experience adhering to Support SLAs
- Entrepreneurial in thinking, outlook and creative problem-solving
- Strong verbal written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to multitask on parallel projects and efforts
What We Would Like You to Have:
- Professional certification for AWS or similar cloud infrastructure
- Experience interacting with data on datastores (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch)
- Experience with Linux and Windows command line tools, and container technology
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Packer, and Jenkins CI
- Experience with Datadog, SumoLogic, and AWS CloudWatch
- Experience participating in an on-call rotation
- Experience working in SOC2 or HITRUST environments

- The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000.
