The Manager of Product Compliance position is responsible for ensuring the legal
compliance of AbsenceSoft’s absence management and workplace accommodation products and services. This role will partner with internal stakeholders and teams to research, effectively communicate and maintain product adherence to changing US and state legislation as it relates to employee leaves and accommodations. This role is based in Colorado or remote.

What You’ll Do
- Policy Inventory & Change Management
- Maintain an inventory of leave and accommodation related federal and
state laws which enumerates AbsenceSoft’s support level and compliance to each law. - Continually monitor and analyze pending legislation, new laws, agency
guidance and case law affecting private and public leave and accommodations law using legal service, blogs, publications, and other
sources. - Attend relevant compliance related industry events.
- Best Practices
- Review and settle compliance and regulatory changes and discrepancies relating to leave, accommodation, and disability requirements within the product and operations practices.
- Add and maintain communication packets for all required notifications.
- Create and maintain guidance for all policies for Implementation, Case
Specialists, and Employees. - Provide implementation worksheets and assets for operations teams to
conduct initial customer discovery and ongoing compliance
consultations. - Compliance

- Audit Customer Configurations
- Audit Product Regression Test Plans
- Review Support Policies, Paperwork, and Communications Annually
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure advertising, marketing, documentation materials remain up to date with best practices.
- Train and Represent Compliance
- Support Internal Functions (Sales, Operations, Marketing) with source
law/policy materials. - Provide ongoing guidance to R&D and internal stakeholders when state
or federal legislative changes occur to ensure that our products can meet these changes by relevant effective dates. - Respond to routine customer inquiries, requirements, and follow-up as
appropriate. - Present summaries of changes periodically.
- Conduct regular internal training sessions on new/updated best-practices and refresh training on all best-practices annually.
- Manage Compliance Team
- Define the function service catalog with service level objectives.
- Define functional metrics.
- Provide individual goals and reviews.
- Draft, maintain, and update legislative guidance and SOPs for the
department. - Organize and maintain large quantities of data and documentation in a
dynamic environment. - Travel - Position requires up to 10% travel.

What’ll Set You Up for Success
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in handling matters involving ADA, FMLA
and LOA laws at the state and federal level. - Minimum of 3 years of experience leading and developing a function.
- Strong experience and familiarity with the administration of leave,
accommodations, and short- and long-term disability. - Highly skilled written and verbal communicator; able to lead discussions at all business levels and functions.
- Deadline oriented and driven, with the ability to execute self-management and direction in a sometime ambiguous environment.
- Actively contribute to team culture of innovation and learns quickly from both successes and failures, pivoting as needed with appropriate follow up.
- Work independently and exercise strong judgment when executing a project.
- Multi-task, can manage and effectively advance multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong conceptual problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach complex business problems and formulate and drive solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Must be computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Westlaw, legislative
software and on-line legislative services).

- The salary range for this position is $150k - $170k.
