The Vice President of Operations provides strategic and operational leadership across AbsenceSoft’s business functions to ensure seamless execution, scalability, and efficiency. This role oversees critical operational processes, drives cross-functional alignment, and ensures operational excellence in support of AbsenceSoft’s growth and client delivery. The VP of Operations serves as a trusted leader to senior leadership and as a mentor to direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do
- Provide overall leadership and direction for operational strategy, execution, and optimization.
- Oversee day-to-day business operations to ensure alignment with company objectives and client commitments.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define and implement company-wide operational goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Lead and manage the Operations team, including direct people leadership responsibilities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and scale for growth.
- Partner with Finance, Product, Customer Success, and other functions to ensure cross-functional operational alignment.
- Establish and maintain operational policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Implement systems, tools, and technologies to enable operational efficiency and reporting.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Assess and mitigate operational risks, ensuring business continuity and resiliency.
- Lead strategic projects and initiatives that directly impact company performance and client success.
- Participate in a highly compliant environment while assisting to maintain company controls and security within your job role.
- Assist in maintaining applicable organizational security and compliance controls within your department, role, and subordinate’s roles.

What’ll Set You Up for Success
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in operations, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale business operations.
Preferred Skills:
- Master’s degree (MBA or related discipline).
- Experience in the SaaS, HR technology, or Human Capital Management industry.
- Previous experience scaling operations in a high-growth company.
