The Sr. Product Designer plays a pivotal role in the design and development of AbsenceSoft’s product offerings, ensuring user-centered, accessible, and intuitive interfaces. Operating at the Manager level, this role focuses on solving complex design problems, refining user experiences, and collaborating across product and engineering teams to drive the delivery of effective leave management solutions. The Sr. Product Designer uses a mix of design thinking, strategic insight, and hands-on execution to enhance product usability, consistency, and visual polish in line with company goals.

What You’ll Do

 

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for high-impact features and workflows across web applications.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and QA to define, implement, and iterate on product requirements.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs using standard design tools.
  • Advocate for user experience best practices and maintain consistency with AbsenceSoft’s design system.
  • Facilitate design workshops, design reviews, and feedback sessions with cross-functional teams.
  • Translate complex business requirements and user needs into intuitive and scalable design solutions.
  • Monitor and respond to user feedback and analytics to continuously improve product design.
  • Ensure accessibility standards (WCAG) are met throughout the design process.
  • Contribute to evolving and maintaining the design system and pattern libraries.
  • Work autonomously on multiple projects while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and techniques to foster innovation and excellence in design.
  • Participate in a highly compliant environment while assisting to maintain company controls and security within your job role.

What’ll Set You Up for Success

 

Required Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or interaction design.
  • Proven portfolio showcasing a range of digital design work and problem-solving approached

 

Preferred Skills:

 

  • Experience working within SaaS or B2B software environments.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
  • Experience working in Agile or cross-functional product development teams.

 

Key Skills & Behaviors:

 

  • Strong proficiency with modern design tools and libraries such as Figma, v0, Miro, and MUI.
  • Deep understanding of UX principles, visual design, and information architecture.
  • Ability to synthesize user research and feedback into actionable design insights.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and consistency.
  • Experience creating and working within component-based design systems.

  • This is a full-time, salaried position + bonus.
