AbsenceSoft is looking for an experienced Vice President of Partnerships, Alliances and Channels, who will report to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). This person will be responsible for building our partnership strategy. This individual will have a strategic approach, strong executional focus, and the ability to work cross-departmentally to drive results that align with business strategy.
This role requires an effective leader with experience and passion building, then scaling a partnership program. You will develop and own the partnership strategy, build strategic relationships, help establish business, legal and commercial terms, and track pipeline and revenues by partner. This role is highly visible within AbsenceSoft.

What You’ll Do
- Strategic Partnership Development:
- Identify and evaluate potential partnership opportunities that align with the company’s strategic goals.
- Lead the creation and execution of strategic alliance initiatives to expand market presence, revenue streams, and product offerings.
- Develop high-impact, long-term partnerships with key players across industries.
- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and its partners, facilitating communication, managing expectations, and addressing any issues.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork within the partnerships and alliances team.
- Negotiations and Contract Management:
- Lead complex negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for all parties.
- Oversee contract development, ensuring agreements are structured to meet business objectives and compliance standards.
- Manage ongoing contractual relationships and ensure adherence to agreed-upon terms.
- Performance Monitoring and Analysis:
- Define success metrics and KPIs for partnerships, regularly measuring and reporting on their effectiveness.
- Analyze the performance of alliances, identifying areas for improvement and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to keep partnerships aligned with market demands.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and legal teams to align partnership efforts with broader business objectives.
- Coordinate internally to ensure resources are allocated effectively to support partnership activities.
- Work with Marketing to drive joint marketing and go-to-market strategies with partners, optimizing for maximum impact and alignment with company goals.
- Leadership and Team Management
- Build, mentor and lead a team of dedicated to partnerships and alliances
- Set performance expectations, providing regular feedback, and fostering a high-performance culture with the team
- Participate in a highly compliant environment while assisting to maintain company controls and security within your job role.
- Assist in maintaining applicable organizational security and compliance controls within your department, role, and subordinate’s roles.
- Other duties as assigned.
What’ll Set You Up for Success
Required Skills:
- BA/BS degree required with MBA preferred.
- 10+ years in SaaS partnership experience including a minimum of 5 in a leadership role.
- 5+ years in the HR technology eco-system. Experience with leave technologies, HRIS and/or payroll a plus.
- Proven track record of building and developing strategic partnerships to drive revenue
- Driven self-starter with the ability to both provide strategic viewpoints and execute as a contributor as needed
- Strong executive presence with experience building a partnership plan
- Experience with key partnership KPI’s and have the ability to report them up, down and across the organization
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively at the executive level.
- Highly organized, detail orientated, and the ability to multi-task.
- Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, Gong and associated sales and partner tooling.
