We are seeking an innovative and systems-driven Product Operations Manager to join our team during an exciting period of growth. In this new role, you will act as a force multiplier for the Product team, ensuring the team has the tools, processes, and insights to thrive. You’ll focus on optimizing product development, supporting data-driven decision-making, and ensuring seamless collaboration across cross-functional teams. 

 

As the first hire in this capacity, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the vision for Product Operations, establishing a solid foundation to scale the product organization alongside the Senior Director of Product.

What You’ll Do

 

  • Optimize Product Processes: Streamline, document, train, support, and improve the product development processes to ensure consistent quality across all stages from discovery to launch. 
  • Insights and Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards for product metrics, OKRs, and KPIs related to the effectiveness of the product organization; provide strategic insights to product leadership to identify trends and opportunities. 
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the primary liaison between product, engineering, customer success, and other teams to enhance collaboration and alignment on owned product processes. Additionally, identifying process bottlenecks, pain points, and opportunities for better cross-functional collaboration 
  • Enablement and Training: Create playbooks, templates, and enablement materials to standardize processes and onboard team members effectively. 
  • Customer-Focused Systems: Implement tools and practices for gathering, organizing, and acting on customer feedback to drive roadmap prioritization and decision-making. 
  • Incident Management & SLA Oversight: Refine triage processes, SLA adherence, and bug management systems to improve team responsiveness and customer satisfaction. 
  • Product Communications: Develop and manage playbooks for product launch communications, release notes, and internal updates. 
  • Participate in a highly compliant environment while assisting to maintain company controls and security within your job role.
  • Assist in maintaining applicable organizational security and compliance controls within your department, role, and subordinate’s roles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What’ll Set You Up for Success

Required Skills:

 

  • Experience: 5+ years in product operations, product management, or similar roles in high-growth environments. 
  • Process-Oriented: Expertise in implementing workflows, project management tools, and scalable systems for product and cross-functional teams. 
  • Product Development Knowledge: Familiarity with SDLC processes, product management best practices, and customer-centric product delivery. 
  • Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in leveraging data to inform strategy, with a track record of successful KPI and dashboard implementation. 
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build trust and alignment across diverse teams. 
  • Leadership Potential: A demonstrated ability to influence and inspire others, with experience mentoring or leading teams. 
  • Product Toolkit: Experience and detailed understanding of the tooling that makes product more efficient. E.G. Productboard, Jira, Lookback, UserTesting.Com, etc. 
  • Startup Experience: Experience in a startup or high-growth company is a strong plus. 
  • Jira and Confluence: Advanced knowledge and proficiency on these tools is a strong plus.
