Lead Software Engineer

The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for helping our teams deliver intuitive, high quality, functional experiences for our customers. Lead Software Engineers work with Engineering Leadership, Delivery Managers, and Product Managers to design and execute our product strategy. In addition to architecture and technical leadership responsibilities, lead engineers are members of execution teams who lead by example while supporting their teammates.

What You’ll Do

Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.
Define and drive technology architecture, developing maintainable, reliable, and effective applications.
Partner with engineering managers to establish and promote best practices for coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.
Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize tasks.
Participate as a member of the architecture team to define top-level technical guidance for all engineering teams.
Stay current with emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
Participate in a highly compliant environment while assisting to maintain company controls and security within your job role.

What’ll Set You Up for Success

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar discipline.
8+ years of professional software development experience.
Excellent leadership skills with experience mentoring and guiding engineers.
Expert level proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, C#/.NET, and database technologies, including relational and NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB).
Advanced querying and scripting capabilities with NoSQL databases.
Experience with other languages and frameworks such as Python and React a plus.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Experience delivering SaaS applications on cloud platforms such as AWS.
Experience in designing and building scalable, distributed systems and APIs.
Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Familiarity with Agile development practices, including Scrum or Kanban.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make informed technical decisions.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This is a full-time, salaried position + bonus.

The salary range for this position is $140k - $185k .
