We’re looking for an experienced, technically minded, Data Analyst. This individual works in the advanced support team providing insights into the data behind customer issues, incidents, and needs of the AbsenceSoft operations teams. They are excellent at listening to others’ issues and interpreting them for possible root causes and then investigating with little bias. They are resourceful and able to gather different types of resources (e.g. documentation, live experimentation, reviewing code, etc.) and able to effectively communicate their process and findings to business and technical users equally.

What You’ll Do

 

  • Perform customer issue troubleshooting 
  • Support customer representative by providing data-driven reproduction steps 
  • Support customer representatives with data analysis 
  • Review and query customer configurations in the database 
  • Support incident response with impact analysis, queries, and excel reports 
  • Provide forensic analysis of issues and their effect on customer data 
  • Collaborate with various teams to prioritize tickets, analyze root cause, and assist in efficient resolution of all production processes. 
  • Participate in on-call rotation, incident response and support 
  • Participate in a highly compliant environment while assisting to maintain company controls and security within your job role.  
  • Other duties as assigned. 


What’ll Set You Up for Success

Required Skills:

 

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience doing root cause analysis in a technical support or similar environment
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical support role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to read application code for basic enums and data structure 
  • Excellent query skills in Postgres and mongo 
  • Excellent Excel skills for final reporting (vlookup, pivoting, filtering) 
  • Ability to communicate effectively to different levels of technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Ability to dissect and troubleshoot issues 
  • Highly organized/structured thinking  
  • Ability to structure and share data with a non-technical audience
