AbsenceSoft is seeking an experienced and dynamic Talent Development (TD) Manager to join our HR team. The TD Manager is an individual contributor role that is responsible for creating, facilitating and managing full cycle talent development programs that foster skill building, professional growth and employee engagement. This role will build and facilitate highly effective onboarding program and management development programs, in addition to partnering with leadership on the planning, design, delivery, and evaluation of scalable training programs that foster continual skill building, career progression and organizational effectiveness. This is a hands-on position that is part of a small HR team. As such, supporting other HR projects including performance management, talent acquisition, DEI and other initiatives will be required.

What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate a highly effective onboarding program to ensure a seamless, consistent and informative experience for new hires.  Kaizen the program as we grow.
  • Facilitate a management development program to continue to build expertise for all people managers.
  • Collaborate with management teams and subject matter experts to identify current and future training and development needs.
  • Design the curriculum and facilitate comprehensive training programs including building training materials and job aids that enhance employee skills, productivity, and engagement.  This can include live programs, virtual, and e-learning, curated self- guided content, and performance support tools.
  • Partner with managers to identify performance gaps and create tailored development plans for employees to foster career growth.
  • Ensure that all mandatory training and compliance requirements are met, including diversity and inclusion, safety, and other regulatory training for all states and Canada.
  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, evaluations, and key performance indicators, making improvements as needed.
  • Engage in special HR projects to drive an exceptional employee experience and support the continuous development of our HR foundation.
  • Tracks learning enrollment including system maintenance, participation, feedback, and outcomes, using company LMS, HRIS, Survey Monkey, and other platforms.
  • Analyzes and evaluates program metrics, ensuring training effectiveness and return on investment (ROI).


What’ll Set You Up for Success

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum or 5 years of recent experience in talent or leadership development, learning and development and/or organization development/talent management required.  This must include both instructional design as well as in-person and virtual facilitation.  
  • At least 2 years of experience, general HR/HRBP experience preferred.
  • Experience designing/implementing talent programs and consulting with leaders to identify appropriate development experiences, processes and solutions to improve individual and team effectiveness.
  • Experience leading large projects demonstrating strong organization and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills to a wide variety of audiences. 
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), other training applications and HRIS software required.  Recent Udemy experience preferred. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, tracking deadlines & milestones and communicating status while also being attentive to details.
  • Ability to influence, collaborate and work effectively with colleagues and leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels; strong interpersonal (EQ), analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with solid organizational and planning skills.
