Job title: Digital Marketing Analyst

 

Overview of Position: 

Skybound Entertainment is a MULTI-PLATFORM ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY led by passionate creators of content for all sizes of screens – Big, Small and everything in between.  We are looking for a business-savvy and technically-versatile data analyst who can draw insights and make recommendations to multiple business departments. You will be the primary source for data insights and recommendations that guide marketing, merchandising, and operations. 

 

What Success Looks Like: 

The Digital Marketing Analyst will be vital to growing sales, average order value, order frequency, and ultimately customer lifetime value.  This role reports directly to the digital COO. The right candidate demonstrates the ability to define metric frameworks, prepare data, conduct analyses, synthesize findings, and discuss them with peers and Directors daily. You will balance your time performing ad-hoc analysis, while also taking the time to automate and standardize visual dashboards. This individual will grow their career potential by uncovering actionable audience and customer insight that impacts strategy, optimizes execution, and grows our revenue. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Analysis and Storytelling

  • Develop analysis and insights to drive customer engagement and retention
  • Perform comprehensive analysis to develop an in-depth understanding of our digital products, our content, our existing and prospective customer base and subscribers
  • Create reports and dashboards by pulling and aggregating e-commerce data to deliver stream of reporting and analytics that support e-commerce objectives
  • Translate data into insights that help stakeholders understand customer needs, behavioral drivers and content performance in a concise and effective manner
  • Interpret marketing and merchandising sales stats into deliverables and recommendations to improve conversion rates and ROI
  • Provides timely post-release activity performance analysis vs. forecasts along with insights on results and recommendations or suggestions to support future decision making


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Analyze marketing metrics and build data models to successfully develop KPIs in collaboration with e-commerce, video and marketing teams
  • Build dashboards and self-help reporting for managers and executives
  • Spearhead digital data visualization projects focusing on analytics for marketing, merchandising, and operations teams
  • Ability to identify and define business problems and issues, and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks
  • Engage with the e-commerce team to optimize website funnels, channel performance and customer segmentation
  • Work closely with our business stakeholders to inform their decision-making with insights, identifying growth and engagement drivers and areas of opportunity
  • Connect the dots between interaction on our video content platforms, marketing efforts, and product sales
  • Participate in process design to recommend ways to address data gaps 


Desired Skills and Experience:

·        BA or BS degree from an accredited four-year college 

·        A consumer of online video content in general pop culture, gaming, entertainment, and comics 

·        2+ years of experience in data analytics in e-commerce or a D2C start up focused on CLTV 

·        Mastery of Shopify, Google Analytics, MailChimp, SendGrid, Sendlane,, and/or FreshDesk 

·        2+ years of experience in an environment w/ on Facebook Ads, Google Search, and email 

·        2+ years of experience with Tableau and/or Tableau Online building dashboards and reports 

·        Mastery of Amazon Redshift, SQL, Python, and Excel to query, manipulate and summarize data 

·        Experience using tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and YouTube Analytics 

·        Experience using social listening and intelligence tools like CrowdTangle and Tubular 

·        Technical knowledge including html, tag management, basic front-end code 

·         Proven ability to communicate data findings to non-technical audiences 

·        Good follow-through on projects; deliver with quality, on time 

·        Strong written and oral communication skills 

·        Positive attitude
