Manager, Commercial Reporting and Data Operations US
POSITION SUMMARY
Thea Pharma, Inc. (TPI) is the newly established US commercial organization of French-based pharmaceutical company, Laboratoires Théa (Clermont-Ferrand). The company has focused on the development and commercialization of OTC and prescription therapeutics for the treatment of eye diseases for over 27 years. Thea is advancing development for OTC and prescription ophthalmic products and expects to launch its lead product candidates in the US in 2023.
The position of Manager, Commercial Reporting and Data Operations US is a dynamic member of Thea Pharma, Inc. commercial operations planning team. This position will have work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support implementation of data infrastructure and business intelligence solutions for the commercial team.
This individual will be responsible for the acquisition of commercial data assets to enable strategic analytics. This position will lead the development of business intelligence tools to support home office and field-based reporting solutions. This role reports to the Director of Business Insights and Analytics of Thea Pharma, Inc.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate with commercial teams to develop recommendations for KPIs and visualizations to support Thea's goals
· Manage end-to-end reporting process from requirements gathering, report mockup, feedback gathering, dashboard design, and development
· Perform ad-hoc analysis and create ad-hoc reports as needed
· Triage and prioritize requests for dashboard enhancements to balance operational needs with long term strategy
· Work with commercial team to maintain reporting standards and protocols
· Act as subject matter expert for commercial data/reporting and provide recommendations to marketing, commercial operations, market access, and field sales
· Manage third party vendors to acquire data and define format for data feeds
· Work with third party vendor to implement Master Data Management and Data Quality processing
· Create and maintain documentation for business rules and data warehouse processes
· Support governance plan and align with commercial leadership on key metrics and procedures
· Seeks out alternative/creative ways of meeting an information need, considering new techniques to
address business challenges.
Qualifications and Requirements
· BA or BS degree (MS in technical discipline or other advanced degree a plus)
· 4-5 years of experience in roles within a commercial function of a consulting or pharma/biotech company (i.e., analytics, reporting)
· Knowledge of core commercial data assets and processes such as IQVIA, Symphony, Targeting, Alignments, MDM, Incentive Compensation, and Market Access
· Experience with business intelligence/data visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, others)
· Experience in ophthalmology/optometric market is a plus.
· Experience with SQL and knowledge of data warehousing is a plus
· Demonstrate ability to present to leadership and large field sales teams
· Project management skills with ability to oversee multiple large scale technical projects and deliver on budget and on time
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to connect analytics with the overarching business questions, and can understand the link between brand strategy and reporting.
· Demonstrates a continuous commitment to the QC process to ensure quality of deliverables meets or exceeds team’s standards.
· Experience developing Excel based reports is required. Proficient at PowerPoint for presentations.
· Travel requirement: Approximately 10% including overnights.
