POSITION SUMMARY

Thea Pharma, Inc. (TPI) is the newly established US commercial organization of French-based pharmaceutical company, Laboratoires Théa (Clermont-Ferrand). The company has focused on the development and commercialization of OTC and prescription therapeutics for the treatment of eye diseases for over 27 years. Thea is advancing development for OTC and prescription ophthalmic products and expects to launch its lead product candidates in the US in 2022.

The position of Manager of Sales Operations US is a dynamic member of Thea Pharma, Inc.

commercial operations planning team.  This position will have high visibility to executive level decision makers and require strong leadership to ensure alignment across multiple cross-functional teams.

 

This individual will be responsible for managing and maintaining Sales Team functionality to include, but not limited to, CRM tools, reporting, sales team hardware and software logistics and support, Sample Accountability, Incentive Compensation tracking, and Market Access Patient Services. This position serves as an internal resource to senior leadership by helping key internal stakeholders make informed strategic decisions and choices.  This role reports to the Vice President of Commercial Operations and Analytics of Thea Pharma, Inc.

 

Key Responsibilities


  • Work with Head of Market Access and Strategic Accounts and Supply Chain Management on key business initiatives, stocking, and distribution plan for all products throughout the lifecycle: launches, backorders, and discontinuations.
  • Manage day-to-day sample operations in coordination with Sample Management Vendor.
  • Onboard New Hires into Sample Program through training for PDMA, CRM and co-ordinate new hire activities with Sample Management Vendor.
  • Monitor and report sample utilization and sample inventory.
  • Lead monthly meetings to facilitate discussion of sample inventory requirements with Sales Analytics, Finance, Marketing and Supply Chain.
  • Work with sales to provide timely updates to the quarterly IC plan for the sales force and district managers.
  • Partner with Sales Analytics, Regional Directors and Sample Management Vendor to manage the Direct-to-Practitioner Program for vacant or uncovered territories.
  • Interact with Sales and Marketing team to create, expand and facilitate the patient services model and its operations.
  • Monitor and report on PDMA compliance deviations.
  • Reviews and complies with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state, and federal laws, and regulations.  
  • Author and Co-author SOPs, Business Rules and other sample compliance documentation.
  • Manages the relationship and the sample storage procurement/termination process with Sample Storage Vendor(s).


Qualifications and Requirements


  • BA or BS Degree (MBA or other advanced degree a plus).
  • Minimum of three years working experience in the supply chain and logistics processes environment.  Preferable in pharmaceutical environment.
  • Working knowledge or experience with FDA’s PDMA Regulations.
  • Experience working with vendor management (Knipper experience a plus).
  • Ability to work in cross-functional team-based culture.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant software systems (e.g. MS Excel, Access, MS Word and PowerPoint, etc.) is required.
  • Travel requirement:  Approximately 25% including overnights.
