POSITION SUMMARY

Thea Pharma, Inc. (TPI) is the newly established US commercial organization of French-based pharmaceutical company, Laboratoires Théa (Clermont-Ferrand). The company has focused on the development and commercialization of OTC and prescription therapeutics for the treatment of eye diseases for over 27 years. Thea is advancing development for OTC and prescription ophthalmic products and expects to launch its lead product candidates in the US in 2022.

The position of Manager of Commercial Operations US will partner closely with the Head of Commercial Operations and Analytics to ensure branding is based on corporate and national messaging.  This individual is a dynamic member of Thea Pharma, Inc. commercial operations planning team.  This position will have high visibility to executive level decision makers and require strong leadership to ensure alignment across multiple cross-functional teams. This role reports to the Vice President of Commercial Operations and Analytics of Thea Pharma, Inc.


Key Responsibilities


  • Plan and execute on events or programs to include but not limited to project timelines, budgeting and approvals, research and sourcing, support of agenda development, virtual platform support and logistics management.
  • Support internal client's strategic initiatives by working with multiple stakeholders to connect program concepts and strategy.
  • Responsible for the coordination of the Compliance, Medical, Legal, Regulatory (MLR) process for TPI.  This includes scheduling and attending regular meetings, tracking the progress of assets in review, and working with key stakeholders, (marketing, Medical legal, regulatory, and compliance), to ensure on time review and approval of promotional assets.
  • Develop and track detailed budgets for assigned meetings to ensure revenue and expenses are kept within established boundaries.
  • Coordinate event logistics and services, including technology and equipment needed to run the event, food, drinks, transportation, lodging, and more.
  • Manage the budget and ensure event stays within guidelines; ensure vendors are paid
  • Collaborate and manage deliverables with other internal departments and external vendors, to include, but not limited to graphic design and production, marketing, brand recognition and communications.
  • Collaborate with Events & Meetings colleagues to share industry updates, promote best practices, drive synergies and consistency and foster a culture of innovation to highlight a client-centric approach.
  • Work as part of the planning team on large scale programs to support the event objectives and logistics.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and trade team to maintain message compliance in all forms of materials published or printed.


Qualifications and Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree of equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience in event and meeting planning, preferable within the ophthalmic and ophthalmology meeting space.
  • Experience with project management, preferably in the CMLR space preferred
  • Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills to support an environment driven by client focus, teamwork and building productive relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with creative and media agencies.

  • Travel requirement: Approximately 30% including overnights
