POSITION SUMMARY
Thea Pharma Inc. is seeking a driven and strategic Director of Marketing, Glaucoma, to support and grow our Glaucoma Franchise. This role combines strategic brand leadership while responsible for day-to-day brand management, tactical execution, performance analysis, and cross-functional coordination to drive commercial success. The Director of Marketing, Glaucoma will report to the Waltham office 3 days a week.
Ophthalmology experience is not required. We are looking for a strong pharmaceutical marketer with a track record of execution excellence, analytical thinking, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced specialty environment.
This role reports to the Head of Marketing and partners closely with Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Compliance, and Operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Strategy & Execution
- Develop and support development and execution of annual brand plans with Glaucoma marketing team
- Lead and support tactical implementation of promotional materials, digital campaigns, speaker programs, and sales tools
- Ensure consistent and compliant messaging across all customer touchpoints
- Manage agency and vendor relationships to deliver projects on time and within budget
Commercial Performance
- Monitor key performance metrics (NRx, TRx, market share, distribution, access trends)
- Analyze field feedback and market data to identify opportunities and challenges
- Recommend tactical adjustments to optimize performance
- Support forecasting and budget tracking and analysis
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales to ensure strong execution and pull-through
- Collaborate with Market Access on payer messaging and reimbursement tools. Including HUB service maximization
- Work with Medical, Regulatory, and Legal to ensure compliant content development
- Support training initiatives and sales meetings with impactful brand materials
- Mentor and develop a high-performing marketing team
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture that encourages innovation and accountability within the marketing team
Project & Budget Management
- Support and manage marketing budget allocations for assigned tactics
- Track program ROI and report on effectiveness
- Ensure timelines and deliverables are met across multiple initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Required:
- 10 years of relevant experience including at least 8 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare marketing experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business or related field
- Proven track record of developing and executing strategic marketing plans for branded products
- Demonstrated experience driving commercial success including product launches
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, cross team collaboration, and presentation skills
- Travel up to 35% of the time
Preferred (not required):
- Specialty pharmaceutical experience
- Launch or new indication experience
- MBA or advanced business training
- Experience working in a smaller or entrepreneurial organization

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires prolonged sitting. Additionally, requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity enough to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision to record, prepare, and communicate appropriately. Additional physical requirements include hearing spoken communication clearly.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between $150k to $210k. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.
