Job Description:  

Grow overall AV revenue and profit, while achieving customer satisfaction from pre-production through post-event phases of service. Must be able to hunt and solicit new and repeat business through a proactive account management approach that incorporates consultative selling skills. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key personnel and clients to enhance the overall business relationships.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Solicit and secure business for OPAV through a proactive, consultative account management approach

  • Utilize OPAV’s sales process and sales standards

  • Obtain definite bookings from the venue, assign opportunities, proactively contact customers, and create professional bids and proposals by actively using OPAV resources and marketing collateral

  • Utilize an understanding of costs associated with sales, including labor, commission and equipment outsourcing and work within established profitability guidelines.

  • Annual Sales Expectations are to exceed $2 Million in revenues.

 

Additional Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Utilizes coordination and integration of efforts among multiple departments in order to successfully execute sales, events, and client satisfaction.

  • Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Follows policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.

 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Superior managerial and diplomacy skills.

  • Prior account management experience in audiovisual, technology, event, or hospitality experience preferred

  • Knowledge of sales process required in addition to the ability to read and decipher financial reports and records

  • Technical aptitude, computer proficiency and ERP knowledge preferred. We utilize software such as:

    • VectorWorks

    • Microsoft Office

    • Google G-Suite

 

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA or 5+ years of equivalent experience required 

  • 5+ years sales required
