As a QA Engineer Lead at CBANC, your daily activities will include more than simply testing code. We all have the same end goal and that's creating the best experience for our customers. We are seeking an individual that is fearless and relentless to make sure that happens. There will be plenty of testing to do and it's all about the details. Specific information is often needed to get to the root of issues. Clarity with attention to detail should be one of your greatest assets. Sometimes you'll find things aren't what they should be, and you'll have to relay your findings to a developer or product owner. Getting there early in the process is important, but so is the way you deliver it.

The ideal candidate should be diplomatic and transparent. You'll be responsible for testing all releases for multiple micro services, constantly updating JIRA ticket statuses and identifying and bridging communication gaps between developers, UX and product owners. You need to be a master at multitasking and managing your time efficiently.



  • Interact with Product and Engineering teams to translate requirements and/or technical specifications into test cases

  • Design and execute manual tests and test suites

  • Estimate, prioritize and coordinate testing activities with Engineering teams

  • Identify and thoroughly document defects encountered during testing activities

  • Perform regression testing when defects are resolved

  • Monitor, merge, deploy and test all code presented through developer pull requests in Gitlab


  • Minimum of 6 Years of QA experience in software development (Web Applications, SaaS, Mobile)

  • Experience in both UI level and API testing

  • Experience with Git repos, pull requests and general admin of the GitHub/GitLab tool

  • Ability to understand and write SQL queries

  • Ability to read and understand JSON

  • Experience with Agile or Scrum development methodologies

  • Capable of digging into the business needs/requirements and translating them into test plans

  • Strong organizational discipline to ensure success when tracking multiple test executions simultaneously

  • Excellent communicator, who enjoys daily interactions with Product, UX and Engineering team stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently with a strong desire to produce consistent, reliable work

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment
