The Haven at College provides an intensive outpatient treatment program focusing on college students based in California with mental health and substance use disorders. Our in-person location is in LA across the street from the University of Southern California. Online we treat college students all across California. Our vision is for every major college across the country to have a Haven at College. Our intensive outpatient treatment program provides direct clinical services that meet the highest level of substance use disorder and mental health care for college-age adults in California. The Haven’s in person and virtual clinical program inspires students to be engaged in their treatment experience by drawing from a variety of evidence-based theories to help them feel supported and understood as they heal and grow.

Position Overview

You will play a critical role in the delivery of high-quality clinical services to clients with mental health and addiction disorders in an intensive outpatient treatment setting. The ideal candidate will have a desire and passion to be part of a dynamic team working together to build the premier behavioral health company that meets the unique needs of college students and their families.

Duties include, coordinating care with other treatment providers, crisis management, attending staff and treatment planning meetings, and completing appropriate documentation of therapy sessions.

Job Responsibilities

Clinical Service

  • Provide the highest quality clinical services, both in person and via telehealth, to young adults with mental health and addiction disorders
  • Meet directly with clients to determine their clinical needs, including conducting assessments, providing individual, family and group psychotherapy, treatment planning and discharge planning
  • Utilize outcomes measures and client satisfaction surveys to monitor progress and engagement
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner
  • Participate in utilization reviews for your caseload
  • Consult with treatment team to ensure collaborative conceptualization and treatment plans
  • Engage family members when appropriate to enhance client recovery
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director and other case management colleagues to refer students out to higher levels of care (as needed)

Client Engagement

  • Proactively ensure that clients are assigned to the appropriate level of treatment and interventions, and monitor attendance and engagement on a daily basis
  • Utilize supervision, collaboration and training as necessary to continue to provide the highest quality and level of student care and engagement
  • Evaluate results from client satisfaction surveys in order to recommend continuous improvement with student engagement

Compliance

  • Consistently maintain professional standards regarding client rights and demonstrate adherence to HIPAA and all local, State and Federal laws and ethical guidelines
  • Attend all staff trainings and Haven company meetings to increase understanding of company priorities and standards

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling or Social Work. Licensed in the state of California as a Ph.D., PsyD, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC
  • Experience working with young adults in an addiction treatment and mental health setting
  • Working knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for addiction, mental health and co-occurring disorders, including CBT, DBT and MI, as well as 12-step and other recovery programs
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and client documentation
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends for therapy groups, program outings and gatherings
  • Understanding of ICD-10 and DSM V

Position Details

  • Compensation:  $42-63 per hour at $90,000-138,000 annual pay for candidates licensed 2 years or more.
  • Must be able to work 5 days per week, between Monday- Friday and Saturdays as needed.  
  • Full-time Positions from 11:30AM-8PM Daily

Additional Requirements

  • Environments Demands and Exposures to Hazards: (OSHA Level - II). Normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid, tissues, but employment may require some unplanned, Category I activities.
