We are looking for a dynamic HR Specialist to join our team to handle a variety of functions in support of the organization and the Human Resources team. 

 

Starting salary:  $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

 

Purpose of Position- Supports Imagine! through work in multiple areas of Human Resources, including coordinating employment activities, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. Assists employees with general HR needs and questions, is a resource for managers and employees in regard to employee relations and problem solving.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

 

General HR duties

  • Responds to general inquiries from employees regarding employment, training and development, performance, compensation, paid time off and employee engagement
  • Recruitment activities including creating job descriptions, posting jobs, resume review, phone screens, and managing talent pipelines
  • Employee relations
  • Provide back up support to the HR team

 

Day to Day HR Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with all levels of management regarding full cycle recruitment and strategy
  • Sources, screens, and interviews potential candidates to ensure they are the best qualified candidate based on job qualifications.
  • Facilitates onboarding and orientation of new hires and offboarding of exiting employees including ensuring that compliance standards are met.
  • Maintains HRIS and employee files, as well as other systems related to benefits or other HR functions.
  • Serves as point of contact for employee questions, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures. 
  • Assists managers and employees in performance management practices, advising and coaching as needed.
  • Administers leave programs, answers questions, and provides education and support as needed.
  • Partner with payroll to resolve any payroll related matters.
  • Ensures compliance with various federal, state, local regulations as well as Imagine! policies and procedures.
  • Cross train in all areas of HR in order to support the HR team
  • This position requires occasional use of a personal vehicle with liability insurance that meets Imagine! standards.

 

 

 

Job Qualifications

 

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels.
  • Ability to provide effective training to individuals and groups at all levels.
  • Thorough knowledge of EEO regulations and employment law.
  • Effective and creative problem solver.
  • Ability to work effectively with various technology including MS Office suite, especially Excel, internet based databases, and other office equipment. 
  • Strong organization skills and ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects, and changing priorities. 
  •    Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to meet Imagine! driving requirements.
  • This position requires regular use of a personal mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet.

            Training/Education:

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR preferred.

            Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources in various aspects of HR, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in related industry preferred.
  • Experience using HRIS technology

            Working Environment/Physical Activities

  • Hybrid role requiring 3 days in the office per week.
  • Occasional travel throughout Boulder/Denver area.
  • Standard office environment, requiring sitting for long periods of time at a desk or personal computer.
  • While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to utilize tools, objects, or controls; stoop; effectively communicate through speech; understand verbal communication; and lift or move up to 25 pounds.
