Purpose of Position

Supports the overall and changing Business Administration needs for Early Intervention Administration. Independently completes various deliverables for the State or other stakeholders. Takes ownership of delegated tasks and processes, including implementation, maintenance, performance, improvement, reporting, and cross training of other department business team members. Acts as the point person for key business deliverables to ensure regulatory compliance as well as accuracy, consistency, and completeness of information. Provides technical assistance to and interaction with a variety of stakeholders, in collaboration with supervisors and team members, to assist in effective output and understanding. Monitors overall process performance data and reports to supervisors and customers/stakeholders, as assigned. Supports a team culture of high customer service and being nimble with ongoing changes.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

 

  • Maintains a broad understanding of the business support needs for a department or team, including how each task/process fits into the plan and process.
  • Knows what is critical about assigned tasks/processes, including why the output is important to customers/stakeholders.
  • Monitors process performance data and reports outcomes regularly by creating and/or using current reporting templates.
  • Ensures data tracking is complete, accurate, and within regulatory compliance.
  • Makes sure all tasks/processes are documented using established format and that the documentation is used, updated as needed, and maintained.
  • Supports business team cross training efforts, provides back up, and shares team workload, as needed and directed.
  • Designs and maintains spreadsheets, queries, or reports as required for key performance indicators.
  • Assists with audit requirements.
  • Monitors completion of Business Administration tasks/processes per deliverable timelines, including troubleshooting when needed.
  • Provides technical assistance to a variety of stakeholders, which may include business team members, supervisors, care coordination, regulatory personnel, or persons in services and community members.
  • Responsible for completion of state required deliverables, as directed by supervisor, May be required to submit billable time to state for such activities.
  • Ensures understanding of relevant policies, practices, and processes, and stays current with regard to changes.
  • Fulfills document management activities and supports integrity efforts in all data systems.
  • Various projects or clerical duties, as needed.

 

 

Job Qualifications

 

                Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels.
  • Demonstrates organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks/goals for self.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively with various technology including word processing software, internet based databases, etc.
  • Effective and creative negotiator and problem solver.
  • Ability to develop a general, working knowledge of the program in order to evaluate quality.

 

Training/Education:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree in human behavioral science or related field of study preferred.
    OR
  • Four years of experience in long-term services and supports/early intervention.
    OR
  • Four years of relevant education and experience long-term services and supports/early intervention.

 

Experience:

  • Experience in field of intellectual/developmental disabilities or delays preferred.
  • One year experience with Microsoft Office required.

 

 

Working Environment/Physical Activities: 

  • Effective with shifting roles, responsibilities, and expectations in a changing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under the pressure of deadlines.
