Hiring Range: $58,000 - $64,000 annual salary

FLSA:           Exempt

Purpose of Position - The purpose of this position is to inspire giving to and support of Imagine!’s mission to create a world of opportunity for all abilities. Toward this purpose, the Development Coordinator works with the Executive Director of the Foundation to develop the vision and set the strategy for the Imagine! Foundation. The position collaborates closely with Imagine!’s executive leaders and Imagine!’s Board of Directors  and establishes, nurtures and maintains positive relationships with donors.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Foundation Executive Director, executes fundraising and administrative activities of the Imagine! Foundation.

 

Fundraising and Board Support

    • Is Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the donor and event database systems.
    • Manages entry and acknowledgment of gifts received via mail, credit card, and online (direct and third-party sites)
    • Enters or imports donor, gift and event data with appropriate coding
    • Generates queries and reports
    • Maintains thank you letter templates and generates gift acknowledgment letters.
    • Supports non-event fundraising initiatives
    • Helps maximize effective utilization of database and event software
    • Supports Foundation Board Directors and the Foundation Executive Director with prospects and solicitation efforts.
    • Coordinates the annual prospect list development and updates with each Foundation Board Director
    • Prepares annual solicitation packets for all Foundation Board Directors
    • Attends Board meetings (approximately 5x year) and prepares meeting minutes; helps support other Board Committees as needed

Helps manage logistics of campaigns including, but not limited to, Fall Appeal, Colorado Gives Day, Spring Appeal, and 3rd party campaigns

Events

  • Leads on coordination of Foundation events including, but not limited to, the annual Imagine! Celebration, Donor Recognition, and third-party fundraising activities that benefit Imagine!
  • Leads the Imagine! Marketing & Events Committee and helps recruit volunteers
  • Manages event software and ensures timely transfer of necessary data to the main database management system
  • Solicits and stewards relationships with local businesses for in-kind and 3rd party event donations
  • Envisions and executes details of events to ensure goals for each are achieved within budget
  • Works collaboratively with other staff, volunteers and donors
  • Supports the overall mission of the organization, and represents Imagine! and the Imagine! Foundation as needed to secure funding and recruit and retain volunteers

 

Job Qualifications

 

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

  • Commitment to the vision, mission and values of Imagine!.
  • General knowledge of fundraising principles and event management.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize tasks for self and others.
  • Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with donor database systems (preferably Raiser’s Edge/NXT)
  • Proficiency with online event software/platforms, preferably Click Bid
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 
  • Ability to engage in creative thinking and problem solving.
  • This position requires the regular use of a personal mobile device such as a tablet or smartphone (stipend given)
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to meet Imagine! driving requirements.

          Training/Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management or a related field.

          Experience:

  • Two years of experience with donor development, database management and event planning preferred.  

          Working Environment/Physical Activities

  • Hybrid position (minimum 2 days in-office per week, remote available)
  • Effective with shifting roles, responsibilities, and expectations in a changing environment. 
  • Ability to work occasional evenings/weekends for events
