If not currently RBT certified, pay will start at 20.50 per hour and certification must be obtained within 90 days of start date. If currently an RBT, pay will start at $21.00 per hour.
Purpose of Position:
Works under the clinical supervision and leadership of a Behavior Therapist and/or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to model and implement Individual Treatment Plans with children and adults. This may occur in residential, community, or day program settings.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Provides direct Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy for clients at home, in the community, or in other environments as needed.
- Builds rapport with the client, their family, and staff or other care providers in different environments.
- Implements Individual Treatment Plans developed by Behavior Therapists and/or BCBAs.
- Responds appropriately to client’s challenging behaviors and implements behavior intervention strategies, skill acquisition programs, and program changes as directed by the Behavior Therapist or BCBA.
- Collects data in a timely and efficient manner to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the Individual Treatment Plan.
- Provides regular written and verbal progress updates on treatment goals and proactively communicate any questions or concerns to the Behavior Therapist or BCBA.
- Attends clinical or team meetings, staff meetings, and trainings to expand their knowledge on different behavior principles, strategies, and the field of ABA.
- Attends regular supervisory meetings with a Behavior Therapist and BCBA.
- Reports on client care and treatment as well as any changes in client level of functioning to the Behavior Therapist or BCBA.
- Discuss significant behavioral incidents, or other issues that affect client’s behavioral status.
- Acts as liaison between the client, family, staff, other care providers, and treatment team.
- Reports client progress to the Behavior Therapist or BCBA.
- Supports the Behavior Therapist or BCBA with training families, staff, or other care providers on implementing Individual Treatment Plans.
- Communicates effectively with the Behavior Analyst regarding any issues, including service delivery, task assignment, etc.
- Collaborates with other treatment professionals and the client’s family.
- Maintains required documentation demonstrating services provided and adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by State and Federal Agencies and Imagine!.
- Observes confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards in all aspects related to the client, family, and program.
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with all customers of Imagine!.
- This position requires the use of a personal vehicle with insurance that meets Imagine! standards.
- This position requires regular use of a personal mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet.
