Purpose of Position- Responsible for management level oversight, leadership, and financial success of Adult Community Services. Responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of relationships with businesses, customers, and other stakeholders. Oversees the planning of program activities, appropriate staffing patterns, success of the program, and provide guidance and support to Supervisors and Coordinators. The Program Manager ensures the quality of services, regulatory compliance and financial viability of the program.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Support the Assistant Director in ensuring the program is in regulatory compliance as well as in compliance with company policy and procedure through quarterly site monitoring, monitoring of training practices, and monthly oversight of onsite medications
- Ensures the quality of services through staff, consumer, guardian and stakeholder satisfaction, in accordance with departmental mission and goals.
- Ensures the health, safety, rights, and dignity of all individuals receiving services
- Responsible for oversight of Adult Community Services staff, including hiring, training, mentoring/performance management, and disciplinary action.
- Responsible for maintaining current knowledge, understanding, and application of federal, state, and local laws and regulations that affect School Age Services.
- Facilitates staff meetings, program area meetings, and ongoing trainings
- Adheres to Imagine! processes and procedures for Adult Community Services and ensures all assigned staff adhere to those processes and procedures.
- Maintain monthly expenses and monitoring of the departmental budget. Create and implement action plans to address budget variances, under the supervision of the Assistant Director.
- Contributes as a member of the Management team, regularly seeking to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Responds to emergency situations on an as-needed basis, working with Assistant Director, Supervisors, Therapeutic Specialists, Coordinators, Case Managers, etc.
- Develops and effectively executes outreach and engagement activities in the community to support community integration
- Monitors and completes all client intake information as well as regularly seeks to improve client satisfaction.
- Monitors the utilization of software systems and keeps the systems up to date with current information and documentation
- Support growth and sustainability within Adult Community Services
- Work directly with clients as needed to maintain safety and regulatory compliance
Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability: |
General knowledge of the developmental disabilities system in Colorado. In-depth knowledge of standards and regulations regarding Day Habilitation and Community Integration Demonstrated skill in working with people with developmental disabilities in a community and site setting. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with individuals and groups at all professional levels. Effective and creative negotiator and problem solver. Demonstrated leadership skills. Effective training skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks/goals for self and others. Ability to work effectively with various technology, including word processing software, internet- based databases, assistive technology, etc. Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to meet Imagine! driving requirements. This position requires regular use of a personal mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet |

Training/Education: |
Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years’ experience working in the field of adult developmental disabilities preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience. |

Experience: |
A minimum of four years related experience preferred. A minimum of 2 years leadership and supervisory experience preferred. |

Working Environment/Physical Activities |
Activities take place on site and within community settings. Requires ability to: Drive a vehicle 1-1.5 hours per day; walk and push wheelchairs; lift consumers during toileting, physical fitness classes, etc; bend to strap chairs into vehicles; fold and lift wheelchairs; carry supplies, etc. Effective with shifting roles, responsibilities, and expectations in a changing environment. Willingness and ability to respond to emergency situations as they arise. |
