Supports individuals ages 18+ in exploring various technology avenues, including Video, Photography, Music Production, 3D printing, Virtual Reality (VR), Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, and other emerging technologies. Facilitates engagement, skill-building, and hands-on learning in a structured yet flexible environment that fosters creativity, independence, and problem-solving. Ensures quality of services as well as compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Maintains professional relationships with individuals as well as members of the team. 

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities 

Develops and facilitates activities tailored to technology exploration and skill-building. 

  • Plans, organizes, and supervises activities in alignment with program goals and Imagine! guidelines. 

  • Assists individuals in using technology, adapting instruction to different skill levels and learning styles. 

  • Monitors progress and adapt instruction as needed to ensure continuous improvement. 

  • Promotes the health, safety, and welfare of individuals in the iTech program. 

  • Teaches technology used through structured instruction, hands-on activities, and guided exploration. 

  • Supports individuals in technology-based social engagement, including online safety education. 

  • Facilitates participation in community-based technology events, competitions, and workshops. 

  • Acts in accordance with Imagine policies, mission and service plans. 

  • Communicates effectively with individuals, guardians and family members, staff and all other members of the individuals’ treatment team. 

  • Represents Social Enterprise in communicating effectively with individuals, guardians and family members, staff and all others on the identified team. 

  • Coordinates as needed with therapists, specialists, Imagine! staff, and others. 

Monitors and reports on data to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, including Imagine! policies and procedures. 

  • Completes documentation and tracking in a timely, accurate manner. 

  • Ensures quality service delivery in line with the individuals’ person-centered support plans. 

  • Reports all behavioral incidents, medical emergencies, and/or significant changes in medical condition to supervisor and completes all related paperwork in a timely manner 

 

Other Duties/Responsibilities  

  • Establishes a strong mentorship with individuals by providing quality support. 

  • Provides excellent customer service and support to individuals, colleagues, and external partners. 

  • Supports the Social Enterprises Mission 

  • Actively participates in staff meetings, workshops, and discussions 

  • Taking care of Imagine! property, including supplies, vehicles etc., being mindful of safety and cleanliness 

  • Maintains positive and professional relationships with coworkers and stakeholders 

  • Attends additional trainings as requested 

  • Implements individual treatment/behavior plans developed by Behavioral Therapist and/or BCBAs 

  • Proactively communicates any questions or concerns to the Behavior Therapist or BCBA 

 

Job Qualifications 

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability: 

  • Solid skills in working with people with developmental disabilities and/or their families. 

  • Ability to solve problems and trouble shoot technical issues. 

  • Ability to learn and become proficient with a wide variety of emerging technologies. 

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks/goals. 

  • Ability to work in a team environment with shared responsibilities.  

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels. 

  • Effective, creative negotiator and problem solver.   

  • Possession of a valid drivers license and ability to meet Imagine! driving requirements. 

  • This position requires regular use of a personal mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet. 

Training/Education: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.  

  • 2 years of college preferred. 

  • Willingness and ability to successfully complete Imagine! and job specific trainings.  

Experience: 

  • Minimum of one year experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities is required.  

  • Minimum of one year experience working with adaptive emerging technologies is required. 

 

Working Environment/Physical Activities: 

  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds.  

  • Ability to drive a minivan 

  • Ability to push wheelchairs, lift/transfer individuals as related to health and activity related needs.
