Imagine! provides a variety of residential services to the intellectual and developmentally disabled community which allows them to live full lives in a number of different settings. 

 

This role is responsible for the development and success of Residential program.  Ensures quality of services, regulatory compliance and financial viability of the program.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Oversees the administration, planning, and success of community-based residential and wraparound services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Maintains compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations and organizational policies and procedures.  Remain knowledgeable about regulatory and legislative changes that impact programming.
  • Ensures quality of services through staff, consumer, guardian and stakeholder satisfaction, in accordance with departmental mission and goals.
  • Directly supervises residential staff including hiring, training, mentoring, performance management, and disciplinary action.
  • Supports the Assistant Director to develop, implement, and monitor departmental budget.  Develops and implements action plans and processes to address budget variances, under the supervision of the Assistant Director.
  • Addresses and resolves service delivery issues and implement quality improvement initiatives.  As a member of the Residential Management team, regularly seeks to develop and implement programs and initiatives that improve service delivery and internal collaboration.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements to streamline documentation and service delivery workflows.
  • Responds to emergency situations on a 24-hour basis, working with case managers, site supervisors, etc.  
  • Represents the Residential program in the community, regularly attending service and provider fairs as well as stakeholder meetings for Residential changes and initiatives.
  • This position requires regular use of a personal vehicle with liability insurance that meets Imagine! standards.
  • Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of data in the electronic health records and all other systems used in support of this program.

 

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

  • General knowledge of the developmental disabilities system in Colorado.
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations governing the operation of host homes, etc., including Health Department regulations.
  • Demonstrated skill in working with adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels.
  • Effective and creative negotiator and problem solver.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks/goals for self and others.
  • Ability to work effectively with various technology including word processing software, internet-based databases, assistive technology, etc.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to meet Imagine! driving requirements.
  • This position requires regular use of a personal mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet.

            Training/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services preferred.

            Experience:

  • Two years of experience in a supervisory or     managerial position required.
  • Two years of experience managing a similar program highly preferred.
  • Two years’ related experience required.

            Working Environment/Physical Activities

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Effective with shifting roles, responsibilities, and expectations in a changing environment. 
  • This position includes being on-call for emergencies and support.
  • Willingness and ability to respond to emergency situations as they arise.
