Job Title:                    Program Manager- Group Homes

Pay Grade:                $58,656 - $60,000

Purpose of Position - The Program Manager – Group Homes provides oversight of Imagine! Group Homes and supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Next Step Living curriculum including supervising staff, program planning, and the communication and coordination of services with several stakeholders including families and guardians, other Imagine! programs, and services in the community. The Program Manager monitors and maintains compliance with regulations and licensure standards and ensures the program's quality of services and financial viability.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provides management of the daily operations of the Group Homes program.
  • Monitors programming to ensure program quality, regulatory compliance, including licensure standards, as well as compliance with company policy and procedures, and addresses all program concerns.
  • Coordinates with local departments of housing for individuals transitioning out of group home placements to ensure affordable housing options
  • Promotes a skill-based learning and development culture focused on outcomes and independence.
  • Promotes a culture of friendship building.
  • Promotes of culture of independence through technology.
  • Promotes quality of services, which is measured through staff, individual, guardian, and stakeholder satisfaction, in accordance with departmental mission and goals.
  • Directly supervises supervisory staff, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Supports the Assistant Director to develop, implement, and monitor departmental budget.  Creates and implements action plans to address budget variances under the supervision of the Assistant Director.
  • Maintains knowledge base of current regulations and policies to ensure duties comply with all applicable rules and regulations.
  • As a member of the Residential Management team, regularly seeks to develop and implement programs, processes, and quality improvement initiatives. Monitors and reports on program-specific performance indicators.
  • Responds to emergency situations on a 24-hour basis, working with case managers, site supervisors, etc. Schedules and participates in on-call rotation.
  • Represents the Residential program in the community, attending county and state meetings as needed, remaining knowledgeable on legislative changes, etc.
  • This position requires regular use of a personal vehicle with liability insurance that meets Imagine! standards.

 

Job Qualifications

 

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

  • General knowledge of the developmental disabilities system in Colorado.
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations governing the operation of group homes, etc., including Health Department regulations.
  • Demonstrated skill in working with adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels.
  • Effective and creative negotiator and problem solver.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks/goals for self and others.
  • Ability to work effectively with various technology including word processing software, internet based databases, assistive technology, etc.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to meet Imagine! driving requirements.
  • This position requires regular use of a personal mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet.

            Training/Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services preferred.

            Experience:

  • Two years of experience managing a similar program highly preferred.
  • Two years related experience required.

            Working Environment/Physical Activities

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Effective with shifting roles, responsibilities, and expectations in a changing environment. 
  • This position includes being on-call for emergencies and support.
  • Willingness and ability to respond to emergency situations as they arise.
