Position Overview:
We are seeking a Legal Intern to join our team. The intern will work closely with staff engineers, project managers, and in-house counsel to address various legal issues that arise in our business operations. This is a valuable opportunity for a law student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in the clean energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
•Review, analyze, and draft contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, and non-disclosure agreements.
•Assist with negotiating contract terms in collaboration with in-house counsel, sales staff, and business stakeholders.
•Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting the installation and servicing of EV charging stations and other renewable energy projects.
•Provide support in preparing legal documents related to permitting, compliance, and licensing.
•Work closely with staff engineers and project teams to ensure legal requirements are integrated into project planning and execution.
•Support the legal team in responding to inquiries, preparing reports, and addressing legal issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
•Currently pursuing or recently completed a J.D. from an accredited law school.
•Strong interest in renewable energy, clean technology, and commercial contracts.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex legal issues.
•Familiarity with contract law, commercial law, and regulatory compliance is preferred.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
