Job Description: Jr. EV Installer

Position Overview: Green Water and Power is looking for a motivated individual to assist in installing commercial EV charging stations alongside experienced installers and certified electricians. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about energy, offering valuable hands-on experience with opportunities for growth toward electrician certification or a career in construction management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior technicians in the installation and setup of EV chargers.
  • Take photos of the job site and upload them to the shared drive.
  • Use power tools proficiently and safely during installation tasks.
  • Keep the job site and electrical room clean and organized.
  • Mount chargers to walls and pedestals securely.
  • Organize materials and equipment on the job site.
  • Run wires, including internet cables, and mount electrical boxes.
  • Bend and run conduit as required.
  • Adhere to OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Attend training sessions to enhance knowledge of EV technology, installation techniques, and safety practices.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to comply with electrical standards.
  • Properly dispose of trash and recyclable materials at the job site.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in electrical installation, construction, or a related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; GED accepted.
  • Basic understanding/experience with electrical wiring of AC and DC systems preferred.
  • Possession of a valid electrical trainee card is required.
  • OSHA 10 certification is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow instructions effectively.
  • Strong team player who communicates well and is receptive to feedback.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Physical capability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Professionalism, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility to work in diverse environments (i.e., hot sun, cold temperatures, crawl spaces) and adapt to evolving project demands.

Additional Information:

  • Criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen.
  • This position requires travel to different job sites. Overnight stays may be necessary depending on the project location.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines. The installer should be flexible with work hours and be prepared for an extended workday.
