Job Title: Paralegal – Contracts and Commercial Projects

Position Overview: We are seeking a Paralegal to join our team.  The paralegal will work closely with staff engineers, project managers, and in-house counsel to address various legal issues that arise in our business operations. This is a valuable opportunity for a law student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in the clean energy sector.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyze, and draft contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Assist with negotiating contract terms in collaboration with in-house counsel, sales staff, and business stakeholders.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting the installation and servicing of EV charging stations and other renewable energy projects.
  • Provide support in preparing legal documents related to permitting, compliance, and licensing.
  • Work closely with staff engineers and project teams to ensure legal requirements are integrated into project planning and execution.
  • Support the legal team in responding to inquiries, preparing reports, and addressing legal issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Strong interest in renewable energy, clean technology, and commercial contracts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex legal issues.
  • Familiarity with contract law, commercial law, and regulatory compliance is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
