Job Description: Sales Director

Position Overview: As the Director of Sales at Green Water and Power, you will lead and manage a team of 20 Sales Associates to drive the company’s EV charger sales initiatives. This executive role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sales strategy, team leadership, and revenue generation. You will oversee sales targets, refine sales processes, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company growth. This is a salaried position with performance-based commission opportunities. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with hands-on execution to accelerate sales results.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a dynamic sales team of 20 professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability. Implement regular training programs and workshops to enhance sales skills, product knowledge, and customer service abilities, ensuring that each team member feels valued and motivated to exceed their sales targets.
  • Design and implement comprehensive sales strategies and processes aimed at expanding the company's market share in the rapidly evolving EV charging industry. Analyze market trends and customer feedback to tailor approaches that effectively meet the needs of potential clients.
  •  Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor team performance closely. Provide detailed reports and forecasts to senior leadership, highlighting achievements, areas for improvement, and suggested adjustments to strategies.
  •  Work closely with the marketing, business development, and operations teams to harmonize sales efforts with overall business objectives. This includes collaborating on promotional campaigns, customer outreach initiatives, and logistical support for installations.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations to assess the effectiveness of sales associates. Offer ongoing training and development opportunities, including mentoring and career progression plans, to cultivate talent within the team.
  •  Actively participate in key client meetings, representing the company and building strong relationships. Support the sales team during complex negotiations to secure high-value contracts and ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  •  Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities and threats. Use this intelligence to proactively refine sales strategies and keep the team aligned with current market demands.
  • Ensure that all sales activities adhere to company policies, legal standards, and ethical sales practices. Foster a culture of integrity within the team, emphasizing the importance of transparency and compliance.
  •  Leverage Salesforce and other relevant CRM tools to track pipeline activity, manage client relationships, and analyze overall team performance. Ensure that data is up-to-date and utilized effectively to inform decisions and enhance productivity.

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of progressive sales experience, with 3+ years in a sales leadership role, preferably within renewable energy, EV, or infrastructure industries.
  • Proven ability to manage, inspire, and drive high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time

Compensation:
This is a full-time salaried position with a base salary range of $120,000–$160,000 annually, plus commission and performance bonuses based on achievement.
