Finance Manager

 

We are looking for a finance professional who will be responsible for the financial health of the organization. They will perform data analysis, create financial reports, and advise senior management on profit maximization, direct investment activities and develop plans for the organization's long-term financial goals.

This is a full-time mostly remote role with occasional in-person meetings required.

Job location: New York City/Tri-State Area or South Florida/Miami area preferred.

WHO YOU ARE:

Finance Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
  • Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
  • Advise colleagues and executive management on decisions related to the company’s finances.
  • Supervise the documentation of the company’s financial status and forecasts.
  • Accounts Receivable: supervise and support all activities pertaining to A/R, including clients’ invoicing, payments collections, deposits and entry, and revenue recognition.
  • Accounts Payable: supervise all activities pertaining to A/P, including vendor bill entries, reviewing, coding, and processing payments.
  • Maintain accurate records, calculations and reporting on sales commissions.
  • Stay up to date with accounting policies, rules, and regulations and apply them to all processes to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Develop processes on funds forecasting, billing and controlling the actuals.
  • Track expenses, budget, taxes, cash flow, receipts and other financial responsibilities of the company.
  • Will report to the CEO.

Skills and attributes required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Relevant experience working in accounting and bookkeeping, 5+ years preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient skills in QuickBooks, or related accounting tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent work ethics, high reliability.
  • Strong logical thinking ability, sense of responsibility, sound judgment and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management, prioritization and ability to work independently.
