The Cathedral School STEAM Camp welcomes rising Kindergarten to Grade 6 students. Campers are immersed in hands-on projects focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Our STEAM Camp sparks creativity, inspires collaboration, and promotes critical thinking and perseverance through maker-centered learning.
The STEAM Camp Teacher reports to the Camp Director and will be employed for four weeks at the Cathedral School STEAM Camp. S/he delivers STEAM Camp curriculum to ensure that campers are receiving relevant, stimulating and enriching experiences.
Background and Required Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree required

At least three years of lead classroom teaching experience and demonstrate familiarity with STEAM/maker curriculum

Possesses good leadership abilities, management and organizational skills

Ability to create a positive, encouraging classroom environment. Ensures the safety and well-being of each child

CPR/First Aid Training preferable
Responsibilities and Duties

Prep and teach STEAM camp curriculum with the ability to adjust and adapt lessons to meet the needs of the students

Supervise campers during snack, lunch and recess

Mentor and guide STEAM camp counselors, ensuring that they embrace and model all camp mission, policies, and guidelines

Works collaboratively and respectfully with colleagues and the Camp Director

Contribute to weekly camp newsletters, highlighting top projects and activities

Communicate with parents in a professional, effective, and timely manner to promote the success of the child and confidence in the program.
Camp Dates and Hours

Camp dates are from Monday, July 7, 2025 to Friday, August 1, 2025

Camp orientation and prep day is on Wednesday, July 2, 2025

Camp hours are from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm split between morning and afternoon shifts. Camp teaching hours are from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Compensation

Salary starts at $35 per hour.
