Performs manual work of routine nature involving the cleaning and maintenance of buildings and grounds. Responsible for the cleaning of sidewalks, parking lots and the like as well as the cleaning of the on-site office and other public/private buildings on the premises. Additional administrative duties as assigned by the on-site manager such as running errands, posting notices.

• Knowledge of standards, practices and cleaning processes of the janitorial trade.

• Ability to apply proper chemical handling procedures.

• Basic knowledge of fire safety.

• Ability to read and understand operating instructions and manuals for tools, equipment and chemicals at assigned locations.

• Familiarity with some computer skills including email, electronic time keeping and mobile software applications.

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and maintain accurate records.

• Ability to work harmoniously and respectfully with staff, residents and the public.

• High School diploma or GED required

• One (1) year of experience in maintenance of grounds and janitorial duties

• Valid Class “C” Texas Driver’s License required
