POSITION SUMMARY 

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Engineer to run SecOPS. As the lead engineer, you will be required to handle the digital security for our global company. Your duties will include strengthening our digital security protocols, operating various cyber security systems and maintaining our IT security infrastructure. Acting as the first line of defense against malicious actors, you will be required to screen the company’s critical infrastructure and applications for weaknesses and create robust countermeasures to prevent risks to operations. Working as part of the ITS team, it will be important that you can help train employees on security best practices and provide advice and guidance on safeguarding our ITS and data.  

 

LOCATION: Grand Junction, CO

 

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

      • Develop, execute, and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems 
      • Design computer security strategy and engineer comprehensive cybersecurity architecture 
      • Identify, define, and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management. 
      • Creating effective security configurations within core applications used within the business 
      • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware 
      • Install software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions 
      • Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures 
      • Plan, develop, implement, and update company’s information security strategy 
      • Educate and train staff on information system security best practices 
      • Implement and enforce ISO 27001 cybersecurity policies and procedures  
      • Coordinate with ITS peers and other service providers to support expert incident management 
      • Execute Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Host-Based Security System (HBSS) scans to determine infrastructure vulnerability state and develop risk reports for briefings to Exco 
      • Collaborate with internal and external customer parties in preparation for IT audits, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements 
      • Have flexible working hours to be available to support team when needed 
      • Perform all other duties as assigned 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

      • Bachelor’s Degree 
      • 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity, required 
      • 7 years of experience in ACAS, required 
      • 6 years of experience in HBSS, required 
      • 5+ years of experience working and managing a SecOPS environment 
      • CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP certifications needed or equivalent specialty experience 
      • Security+CE (or appropriate certification) 
      • Solid experience of the following platforms is essential: 
      • Microsoft Azure Security (Security, Compliance and Endpoint Manager) 
      • Identity Management (Okta, ADFS or similar) 
      • EDR/XDR Platforms (Crowdstrike or similar) 
      • SaSE/ CASB Solutions (Netskope or similar) 
      • AWS Security infrastruSTIG Compliance 
      • Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) Release Notifications 
      • Audit Findings 
      • Directives and Orders 
      • RMF Transition Status 

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS 

      • ACAS/HBSS reviews and reports 
      • NIST control documentation and ATO Packages 
      • Documentation 
      • Cybersecurity Scorecard 
      • Ability to organize and facilitate planning and demonstrations 
      • Ability to track, manage, and ensure project tasks are completed on time
