Energy Ogre is a technology company in the energy industry that helps Texans manage their electricity. We are a fun and quirky pack of Ogres in search of a full-time Digital Marketing Specialist with a background in paid ad placement and an understanding of social media marketing strategy.

 

We are looking for candidates who have strategized and executed paid ad campaigns, worked on various social media platforms creating organic content as needed, and consistently stayed ahead of the fast-paced, ever-changing trends.

 

Our current social channels include Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Reddit. Google My Business experience is also sought after, because this role will oversee our Google Reviews as they come in. We’re hoping to explore Youtube Ads in the near future to see if it yields any notable brand awareness and conversions.

 

Responsibilities include:


Digital Marketing

1. Paid Social Media Ads

-scheduling and monitoring the ads are running

-pushing ads to the correct audience (demographics)

-reallocating budgets to ads that outperform the others

-managing comments and interactions with each ad

***applies to Meta, Pinterest, Reddit, and hopefully Youtube soon

 

2. Campaign Management

-Directing paid campaigns for newsletters, partnerships, influencer campaigns, etc.
-reviewing results periodically, pivoting when needed

 

3. Tracking Link/Attribution Management

-Ensuring all tracking links are correct, appropriately set up, recorded

-VITAL for paid ads and organic social posts

 

4. Lead Capture and Digital Product Creation

-ideate, develop, and execute pages like
            Energy Ogre Reviews, Contract Expiration Reminder, Moving to Texas Checklist
            **development is not required, just the ability to write copy, outline what page will look

like, etc.
-Build matching email campaigns when needed



5. Basic Digital Design Capabilities
-Use of Canva or similar web tools to design material for organic social media content, paid ads, etc.

 

Social Media


1. Organic Social

-creating and posting content

-monitoring interactions

-social listening

2. Social Listening

-monitoring social media for conversations and steering narrative to EO favorably

-adding promo codes when applicable

3. Manage Member Interactions on Social Media
-Maintain the highest level of customer service when responding to messages, answering posts, and monitoring responses/reviews

-Engage with members and potential customers to promote our service
-A group of experts are already appointed to help answer difficult questions, this role would just work with those experts to oversee the landscape of social media interactions

 

 

General Marketing

1. Merchandising

-ordering and designing giveaway items

-organizing merch for each event

-Keeping inventory and reordering when necessary

 

2. Event Attendance

-explain our service/business to event attendees
-remain friendly and engaging at all external events

What you will bring:

  • Enthusiasm, a sense of humor, and an embracing attitude of our ogre ways!
  • 3-5 years of experience managing social media accounts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of digital marketing platforms and emerging trends
  • Proficiency in software related to marketing, graphic design, and paid ads
  • Strong writing, proofing, and editing skills
  • Excellent work ethic, proactiveness, and ability to adapt at a fast pace
  • A team player, upbeat, enthusiastic, and a self-starter
