We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audio Visual Installation Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and executing the installation and integration of advanced audio visual systems in various commercial and educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise:

  • Demonstrate expertise in audio visual equipment, cabling, signal flow, control systems, and integration of various AV components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during installation, ensuring optimal system performance and functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and best practices in AV installation.

Installation and Integration:

  • Install, configure, and test AV equipment, including displays, projectors, audio systems, cameras, switchers, and control interfaces.
  • Integrate AV systems with existing IT infrastructure, network architecture, and control platforms.
  • Ensure all cable runs, terminations, and connections are executed to the highest standards, maintaining aesthetics and functionality.

Quality Assurance:

  • Perform rigorous quality checks on installed AV systems to ensure adherence to design specifications, functionality, and performance expectations.
  • Conduct thorough system testing and user training to ensure clients are proficient in operating and maintaining the AV systems.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Create detailed documentation, including as-built drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment lists, and system configuration files.
  • Provide regular progress reports to project management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial AV installation.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and system documentation.
  • In-depth knowledge of audio visual equipment, signal routing, control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX, etc.), and video conferencing technologies.
  • Familiarity with IT networking concepts and protocols relevant to AV integration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and install heavy AV equipment.
  • Proficiency in operation of box trucks and large vans.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
