OPPORTUNITIES
We are currently looking for a Vice President to join our Financing team in the New York office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Primary responsibilities include start to finish transaction execution, collaboration with lenders and clients, and oversight of the financial underwriting
- Function as an integral part of a deal team and must have the ability to effectively interface with senior management and clients
- Mentor and instruct Associates, Analysts, and other team members in the tools and methods required to effectively procure, underwrite, and transact or otherwise execute their responsibilities
- Research and participate in strategic planning to find optimal capital markets solutions
- Assist in determining appropriate leverage, pricing, and structure on a property and portfolio level basis that is aligned with clients’ business plans
- Prepare presentation materials for prospective clients
- Facilitate client meetings and entertainment events
- Recognize and build relationships with clients and lenders that ultimately lead to new business
- Track opportunities across all of Eastdil Secured’s business lines and take responsibility for team integration
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of commercial real estate experience, brokerage experience, or a combination of both
- A BS/BA degree or higher
- Strong communication, analytical, and writing skills
- Ability to simultaneously lead multiple projects in a fast-paced and results driven environment
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Strong computer modeling skills including robust Excel capabilities
OTHER DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must demonstrate a combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, personal motivation, and distinguished written and oral communication skills. It is strongly preferred that your background includes:
- Eastdil Secured requires each non-administrative exempt staff member (Analyst and above) to be licensed as appropriate real estate salesperson in New York
- Dedication to building a career in the financial services industry with a focus on real estate finance
- Extensive experience in commercial real estate with a focus on capital markets
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships
- Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused, collaborative, and team environment
