The Graphic Designer’s primary responsibility is to execute an unforgettable, multi-platform design that leaves a lasting impression, while maintaining the integrity of the Northview Church branding. This position provides support to all campuses and all ministries and assists the Art Director with any projects needed. This position is a non-exempt full-time hourly position in the Communications Ministry and reports to the Art Director.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Promotes the vision of the church through producing high-quality graphic design content for Northview’s campus ministries, all aligned with a creative brief and communications strategy.
  • Continually seeks fresh ideas for design by researching current trends and styles.
  • Manages projects and tasks effectively using Asana (Project Management System) to ensure a timely delivery of assets.
  • Receives feedback graciously from supervisor, adapting to change and edits in the spirit of collaboration.
  • Contributes to communications team and inter-departmental meetings by providing creative concepts, appropriate feedback, and strategies; helping everyone understand and value the role of design and brand management.

 

Daily Duties:

  • Receives, plans and creates graphics requested through our Graphics Request form.
  • Adheres, develops and helps maintain Northview branding on all material.
  • Works with vendors to obtain pricing and quality printing for all outsourced projects.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Shows commitment to Cultural Standards.
  • Responds to emails and voicemails within 24 hours (on work days).

 

Weekly Duties:

  • Creates graphics for various ministries, working in conjunction with the ministry representative.

 

Monthly Duties:

  • Organizes, oversees and mobilizes our graphic design volunteer team.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
  • This position works with volunteers and requires an understanding that volunteers are key to the ministry of the church. The employee must have a heart to recruit, train, equip and support volunteers in fulfilling their roles.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design software.
  • Photography skills are not required, but a bonus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and ministry leaders.
  • Must provide a professional portfolio of Graphic Design work.
