PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The primary responsibility of the Adult Ministry Director is to lead people in their next step of involvement at the campus. This role will champion the value of involvement by implementing new visitor strategies, leading the process to engage attenders in volunteer teams and overseeing the small groups ministry at the campus. This is a full-time, exempt salaried position that requires weekend work and reports to the Campus Pastor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Assimilation Ministry Duties
- Implements Northview's assimilation strategy at the campus level
- Oversees and implements "The Next Experience"
Engagement
- Develops lay leaders and teams to lead a variety of adult ministries
- Focuses on increasing the percentage of people participating in campus groups and discipleship
- Focuses on recruitment, onboarding, training, ongoing coaching, communication and care for leaders involved in each of the above ministries
- Recruits and oversees a Ministry Associate for a variety of adult ministries
- Ensures that the Discipleship Walk has a strong presence at the campus
- Encourages each campus ministry team to be effective in recruitment, onboarding, training, ongoing coaching, communication and care for their ministry teams
- Gives oversight to Local Outreach by recruiting and coaching a Ministry Associate for Local Outreach, helping recruit and care for a team to implement Local Outreach strategy
- Provides oversight to the guest experience
Other Responsibilities
- Participates in central Adult Ministry meetings and helps shape the vision and strategy for campus Adult Ministry
- Uses The Rock as the primary database tool for groups and teams
Pastoral / Administrative Responsibilities
- Officiates weddings and funerals as needed
- Provides pastoral care, counseling and guidance as needed
- Networks with other churches for ideas and community
- Assists in baptisms or service hosting at the campus as needed
- Shows commitment towards cultural values
- Attends scheduled staff meetings and monthly Huddle
- Check and respond to email, voicemail and calls within 24 hours
- Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position provides dotted line supervision to the Guest Experience Coordinator. This position also works with volunteers and must have an understanding that volunteers are key to the ministry of the church. The employee must have a heart to recruit, train, equip and support volunteers in fulfilling their roles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree, plus 3-5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related experience includes leading volunteers in a large church specifically in adult ministry including assimilation, small groups, and volunteer team development. Must have proven experience in the ability to lead and shepherd.
