PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Production Manager will work closely with both the Multisite Production Director and Campus Worship Pastors in assisting and collaborating in all technical elements of Northview Church with a focus on their assigned locations. The Production Manager's primary responsibility is to develop and support technical volunteers at their assigned campuses. The secondary responsibility is to produce and maintain the technical (non-IT) Weekend Service elements of Northview Church as well as provide support for other ministry events. This position is an Exempt Central Staff position that supports our Anderson, and Noblesville locations. This position is weekend required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Give Ministry Away
- Continually recruit production volunteers for various production and tech related areas (Audio, Video, Lighting, and Producer)
- Provide training & development of volunteers to aid in the implementation and execution of Sound, Lighting & Live Video, at all campuses
- Work with campus tech volunteers to execute weekly experiences and ensure excellence
- Assist in managing all technical assets and maintaining inventory at assigned campuses
- Collaborate & work with Multisite Production Director to implement best tech practices and the production brand at all campuses
- Work with Multisite Production Director to ensure all technical needs for the weekend experience are met at all assigned campuses
- Provide support through stage turns, setup, tear down and auditorium environment changes
- Provides maintenance, support and upkeep of A/V/L and other tech gear
- Support special events at the multisite locations, as needed and assigned
- Weekend "first on-call" for technical related emergencies
- Coordinates with ministries throughout the church and across campuses to provide quality production and tech support
ADMINISTRATIVE & MANAGEMENT DUTIES:
- Communicates well and consistently with staff and volunteers
- Prepare for and contribute in all assigned meetings
- Takes part in rehearsal times or other necessary preparation
- Participate in creative planning and other teams
- Foster a healthy and positive work environment for volunteers
- Develop volunteer leaders
- Communicate weekly with volunteers to make sure they have the details needed for excellent production execution at their campuses
- Consistently hone personal production skills and stay informed with technical advances
- Show commitment toward cultural values
- Respond to email and phone calls within 24 hours
- Perform related duties as assigned by manager
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position works with volunteers and must have an understanding that volunteers are key to the ministry of the church. The employee must have a heart to recruit, train, equip and support volunteers in fulfilling their roles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED, plus 2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related experience includes:
- Proven experience in building and maintaining volunteer teams
- Proven experience with lighting, audio, and video elements
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and find cost-effective solutions
- Proven ability to lead, develop, shepherd and instruct production volunteers
- Proven ability to continually learn and stay on top of industry standards and trends
