PURPOSE OF THE JOB: 

The Operations Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to coordinate functions, tasks, and duties within the operations office, departments, and support teams. This job involves multiple facets of organizational planning, systems, logistics, efficiency, productivity, and support needed to achieve the strategic and day-to-day objectives of the church.  This position is a full-time salary position that reports to the Operations Pastor, with secondary reporting to the central Facilities Director. This position is weekend required. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

Assist Operations Pastor as called upon with various project, research, logistics, planning and business administration duties. 

  • Supplement and support the central & campus facilities staff with shift coverage, event/environment setup and teardown, inventory & storage logistics, courier services, unstaffed properties, etc. 

  • Support other departments and teams as directed by Operations Pastor (Property & Project Management, Safety & Security, Accounting, IT, etc.).

  • Provide routine HVAC preventative maintenance services and regularly monitor and adjust systems and temps for optimal performance and efficiency (willing to train). 

  • Oversee and manage church owned vehicle and trailer fleet. 


SUPPORT DUTIES: 

  • Helps with improving processes, finding cost savings and efficiencies, ensuring quality control, troubleshooting and problem-solving, and managing expenses within budget(s).

  • Helps recruit, orient, involve, and schedule ministry associates and volunteers for the operations departments and teams. 

  • Helps coordinate work with vendors, suppliers, service companies, utilities, and partners. 

  • Researches and makes recommendations on whether projects and support should be completed in-house or involve outside services. 

  • Shares in covering or handling on-call time-sensitive emergency needs. 

  • Assists with daily room, meeting and event set-up and teardown when called upon. 

 

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES: 

  • Checks and responds to email, voicemail and text chats within 24 hours. 

  • Keeps accurate and detailed records and reporting of assigned and completed work. 

  • Follows all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
