Summary Description of the Role(s)
The Operations Controller will have a primary reporting line to the Director. The Operations Controller will have strong leadership skills, consistent with the need to be part of a team of technical experts who will be responsible for overseeing Treasury activity for the firm.
Essential Functions

• Develops and monitors key performance indicators to track and evaluate Treasury operations effectiveness, including but not limited to workflow accuracy and timeliness, and bank relationship management
• Focuses on continual process and workflow improvement and brings accountability for results
• Provides ongoing training to the Treasury staff regarding policies, procedures, and treasury products and methodology
• Identify and implement treasury process improvement initiatives, system implementations, and other special projects, including documentation and cross-functional interaction
• Provides oversight and evaluation of employee and client banking needs including the administration of electronic banking user access and authorized signor changes and ongoing review of banking structure to ensure effectiveness
• Assists in opening and closing of client bank accounts
• Maintains banking relationships with the various banks utilized by our clients
• Responsible for review of AML investor, beneficiary and vendor name monitoring using outsourced database (DDIQ)
• Oversees daily outgoing wire, ACH, internal transfers and check payments.
• Review fund investment, investor distribution and reimbursement wires for proper approval, available funds, accuracy, and OFAC review
• Ensure accuracy of client investor wire instructions via sub docs, wire change instructions, and wire instruction confirmations
• Upkeep of client bank wire instruction excel templates or templates saved on banking websites
• Monitors transactions with a focus on appropriate fraud prevention
• Reviews journal entries for various cash transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness before posting in accounting system
• Participate in onboarding of new wire instructions
• Oversee and review wire change log process
• Assisting with other treasury duties as needed
• Assisting with special projects as needed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position regularly requires long hours and very occasional weekend work.
Travel
Travel is typically planned and can be periodic to other GPFS offices.
Required Education and Experience
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Excellent communication skills -- both written and oral
• Critical thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, derive conclusions or develop appropriate approaches to problems
• Time management – ability to prioritize workload and manage one’s own time
• Must be able to work across multiple teams in multiple locations
• BA/BS in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field desired
• Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in Treasury, Accounting, or Finance
• 2 years of previous experience in a supervisory role
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Master’s degree in accounting or related field
2. Private fund administration experience
