Wavelynx Technologies is a leading company in the access control industry, specializing in the design and manufacturing of cutting-edge electronics. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, your core responsibilities will include timely closing the financial records of the company, assisting in bottoms up budget and forecast preparation, implementing and adopting accounting policies and assisting with Audit preparation.
As the Senior Financial Analyst at Wavelynx, you will be responsible for the daily activities surrounding the month end close, audit preparation and follow-up with auditors and budget/forecast creation. You will report to the Director of Finance.
This is a Monday through Friday role, 100% onsite at our facilities in Broomfield, CO.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform the month end close steps to close the financial records of Wavelynx within a five day period.
- Variance analysis on budget vs forecast vs actual results
- Monthly, perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Monitor application of key accounting policies to include revenue recognition, software development capitalization and lease accounting to name a few.
- Continuous improvement and/or modification on operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Monitor/audit compliance with Wavelynx’s travel and entertainment policy
- Participate and drive forecast inputs to Wavelynx’s financial model from inputting actual results and update the forecast, trends and drivers as appropriate.
- Financial analysis on actual results vs budget / actual results vs forecast
- Pulling data for the dashboard to include both operational and financial key metrics
- Other ad hoc requests as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. Professional designation as a CPA is a plus.
- At least five years experience hands-on experience with bookkeeping, accounting, and financial analysis and reporting is required. Cost accounting experience preferred.
- Experience as a user or subject matter expert (SME) with second tier ERP systems, like NetSuite, is required.
- Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Qualitative abilities include strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and effective problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using office applications; advanced Excel or Google Sheets is required.
- Willing and able to learn new computer systems, products, concepts, and techniques.
- Able to work as an organized team player in a results-driven, fast-paced environment.
Salary and Benefits
- The salary range for this position is offered at $90,000-110,000 per year, depending on experience.
